Our Team

At the heart of Indigi-Kwe Wellness is Amaris Andrews-DePerry, a dedicated mother, certified doula trainer, childbirth educator, and fierce advocate for Indigenous birth sovereignty.

Rooted in Ojibwe values and teachings, Amaris brings warmth, cultural knowledge, and a deep commitment to healing intergenerational trauma through birthwork. Her vision for Indigi-Kwe Wellness is not only to serve families, but to build a community of Indigenous birthkeepers, helpers, aunties, and knowledge holders.

Though she currently leads the work as a solo founder, Amaris is surrounded by a growing circle of collaborators — aunties, elders, doulas, and future midwives — who support the mission and will be woven into the team as the vision unfolds.

“We are never alone in this work. I walk with my ancestors, my helpers, and every person I’ve ever held space for.”
— Amaris
